CATWALK Loves to:
Update your wardrobe - try customising your old clothes by
adding a zip or sequins here and there, not only will it refresh your wardrobe
but it will make your clothes more unique and anti high street.
Firstly, find the area that could do with a bit of vajazzle.
Popular areas include the sleeve, the waist line, the collar and even boring
shoes.
To make your personalisation look extra fabulous start off
by making sure your clothes fit you properly. For example, skinny jeans - if
they're extra skinny these jeans can be difficult to put and take off. You can
simply sew a horizontal zip at the bottom of the jean to make it easier for you
to put on and take off.
Also have a go at taking in that top that is a bit too big
for you now (yippee!), always make sure that clothes fit your right, that they
suit your body shape and that you feel comfortable in.
Accessorise it up - Many stores across the country sell
accessories to personalise your wardrobe, from market stalls to John Lewis,
there's a shop in every town that you could visit.
You can buy sequins, zips, buttons, chains, diamantes,
glitter, beads, the list is never ending! After a bit of practice you will feel
more confident in customising your clothes, it is always beneficial if you’re a
high street goer, there's nothing more embarrassing than walking down the
street and seeing someone in the exact same outfit.
Don't be afraid to experiment and explore the different
opportunities to customise, turn those jeans that have been stuck in your
wardrobe for the past year into hot pants. Add different buttons to your coat,
people won't recognise your clothes. These simple yet efficient tasks are
affordable and extremely easy to do.
