Organising your wardrobe

It’s wasteful to spend money on the things you love and then treat them carelessly.

Just like the Toy Story toys, clothes never die. They just get passed on to friends or siblings, sold on eBay or get given to charity shops.

In order to take care of your clothes, shoes, handbags and jewellery everything needs to be organised!

Here is a checklist of sorting out your clutter:

  • Decide on a place for everything (that doesn’t mean the floor).
  • Once you’ve determined where your clothes, shoes and bags live, organise items according to colour or seasons.
  • Some people like to keep their shoes in the original shoe box, but such beautiful items are best presented on a shoe rack. They are good enough to look at anyway! And always make sure boots still have boot fillers in, you don’t want them to go baggy.
  • Fold your scarves neatly in a drawer, or use dividers to hang them up.
  • If you have loads of costume jewellery, use dividers or boxes to put your bracelets, necklaces or earrings in.
  • Once you have everything in order in your wardrobe it’s time you pulled out a few items that you haven’t worn in a while and try and make an outfit out of it, if not then get rid.
  • You can away make outfits out of clothes you’re keeping for daytime and night time, by getting the clothes out, putting it with shoes and placing some shoes.
  • Then take a picture of your different outfits, it’ll save you time next time your rushing to get ready.
Make a habit of cleaning out your wardrobe. If it doesn't suit your body anymore, it's out. If it's not trendy anymore, it's out. If you meant to wear it lots of times but never did, out. It's simple.

Don't make editing your wardrobe a chore, enjoy it and have fun experimenting with different outfits and styles. Looking good is a job, but it's such a fun one!
